Fundamental research work

researchResearch at Dr. Reckeweg Bensheim goes beyond developing new products or improving existing ones. For more than 25 years, the company has been one of the few in the world to carry out fundamental research in the field of homeopathy. Since the early 1980s, the company has had its own Fundamental Research department, which investigates both the general principles of homeopathy as a therapeutic method and the proof of efficacy of specific Reckeweg preparations. In collaboration with the Carl and Veronica Carstens Foundation, the pharmaceutical company Dr. Reckeweg & Co. GmbH has carried out nearly a dozen projects over the past 20 years. The department's work over the years is documented in several books and dozens of publications.

researchThe primary objective of this research is to answer a question that has remained unresolved for more than two hundred years: how can extremely diluted substances nevertheless produce an effect and prove efficacious? This involves developing new intellectual models and a new understanding of cause and effect, bearing in mind that the main focus is on studying physical systems capable of recording specifically structural information without it being directly linked to the presence of a particular substance. This means administering medicines whose efficacy does not decrease as the degree of dilution increases but, on the contrary, truly begins to unfold during potentisation. Added to this are publications reporting on fundamental product research and addressing questions of methodology in the statistical processing of data collected in homeopathy.

Finally, it must be said that homeopathic research has never been able to count on any clear support from academic circles, whatever the period considered. In terms of both content and funding, it is entirely left to its own devices.
